![]() On a Typhoon, the fuel filter is located inside the frame just ahead of the rear drivers side jack point. |
![]() Looking from the outside, you can almost see the fuel filter through the two holes in the frame. |
![]() If you creep under the truck and look upward, you will be able to see and access the fuel filter more easily. First, loosen both 16-mm flare nuts on the ends of the fuel filter. Place a shallow pan on the rail directly below the fuel filter. Then carefully pull the front fuel line forward and out from the filter. Gas from the filter and the lines will now drip out, so be careful. Next, loosen the top 10-mm bolt holding the metal clamp to the frame. You don't need to completely remove the clamp. Once the clamp is loose, slide the fuel filter forward while gently twisting it until the rear gas line disengages. Then remove the filter from the clamp by carefully twisting and pulling the filter forward. |
