Make sure your parallel port communication mode is set to "uni-directional". If you still have problems linking with your laptop, try executing Diacom or Diacom+ with additional command line switches. This can be done by going into the Diacom or Diacom-P directory on the hard drive and type in:
gmecm.exe /f
or
gmecm.exe /n
or
gmecm.exe /d
or a combination of all three switches:
gmecm.exe /f/n/d
